Pusztav\u00e1m is located in Fej\u00e9r County, in the heart of the Gy\u0151r\u2013Budapest\u2013Sz\u00e9kesfeh\u00e9rv\u00e1r triangle.\nThis Swabian village lies 80 km from the capital at the foot of the V\u00e9rtes Mountains, offering a picturesque setting for visitors. The former watermill, now transformed into a hunting lodge, is situated in a location where the forest is just a stone's throw away. The building was renovated and converted in 2006, resulting in the current form of the guesthouse.\n

\nThe history of the guesthouse is connected to several prominent families.\nIn the early 1900s, the forests of M\u00f3r and Pusztav\u00e1m\u2014including the mill that once stood on the site of the current lodge\u2014were owned by the widow of Frigyes Trattenberg. After losing a legal dispute, the property was acquired by Oszk\u00e1r Haggenmacher, a name well-known in brewing circles. Being an avid hunter, he transformed the mill into a hunting lodge and expanded it in 1938. During this renovation, a mural depicting the mill was painted on the eastern gable of the main building, and it remains intact to this day.\n

\nFor nature-loving guests, we offer year-round peace and quiet away from the noise of the city, ensuring a carefree retreat.\nEmbraced by nature, the guesthouse provides an ideal venue for smaller conferences, team-building events, meetings, training sessions, corporate events, and various family gatherings, including weddings. The conference room is well-equipped to host up to 80 participants for the events mentioned above and more.\n\nGuests arriving here are welcomed by beautiful surroundings, a homely atmosphere, the magical world of the forest, and fresh air from the very first moment. The 9 km-long Malomerd\u0151 educational trail starts from the courtyard of the lodge and can be easily explored on foot, with an off-road stroller, or even on horseback. Highlights of this green area include a charming little waterfall\u2014once home to the mill wheel\u2014and a wildlife observation point showcasing the fauna of the V\u00e9rtes region, where fallow deer and mouflons often greet visitors.\n\nThe main building\u2014the hunting lodge\u2014offers accommodation for up to 20 guests in rooms for 1, 2, or 3 people, each with a private bathroom.\nThe uniquely atmospheric restaurant, decorated with hunting trophies, does not operate on an \u00e0 la carte basis, so advance booking is required for any dining needs. Initially, we welcomed Austrian, Swiss, German, and Japanese guests with traditional Hungarian cuisine. This remains our primary focus, though we are happy to explore international gastronomy upon request. As a hunting lodge, game meat is always available in our fridge.\n\nWe place great emphasis on healthy living and the origin of our ingredients. All produce is sourced locally by the guesthouse manager, ensuring freshness and a preference for items from nearby villages. The forest provides a bounty of natural ingredients, so wild berries and mushrooms are often featured in our dishes.\n\nThe separate farmhouse, part of the guesthouse, was fully renovated both inside and out by spring 2022 thanks to the \u00d6d\u00f6n T\u00e9ry National Tourist House Development Program. This added 14 more beds to our accommodation options. At the same time, a wine cellar and community room was also completed, offering another excellent opportunity for our guests to relax and socialize.<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t
